hey I have a question I was doing p90x I did the first 30 days and before entering phase 2 of exercises I spend a week without working out because I travel for spring break vacation, so i want to know if it is ok for me to keep going on phase 2 or if I have to start over again.

use a chair to support your self one leg on one leg off

  10. MrJake2590 / Aug 21 2010

If you cant do one they show you how to do pull ups with a resistent band. Or you can do a normal and put one leg on a chair. I could only do 2 when i first started. after i finished im up to 20! BRING IT!

  11. davedaddy101 / Aug 21 2010

has anyone ever tried this program? Im thinking about starting it, but what I dont get, is what if you physically cant do something. Like a pull up. A lot of people I know can not do even 1 pullup.

  12. gototots / Aug 21 2010

Belive me, you dont get anywhere without the right food

  13. dkrasney / Aug 21 2010

@jevari get some bands and do it using the stretch bands…

  14. JackBlair2 / Aug 21 2010

Where can I get the whole p90x program for free?

  15. amajanku / Aug 21 2010

There is no subtitutes but like digital master said there is an alternative moves, i use that alternative moves instead of pull up bars.

  16. DigitalJediMaster / Aug 21 2010

Um, I guess trevor has never actually seen the video. Yes there is a substitute for the chin up bar. In the videos each time they go to the bars, they have someone in the group doing an alternative move using the resistance bands. They do this for all but one of the exercises in the entirety of the DVDs that requires some kind of weight resistance.

  17. IPSPMAN90 / Aug 21 2010

some gloves or something to protect yours hands from the cubic rectangular shape of the upper bar part of the gate, it gets your hand screw up! I use sucks, lol
just wrap that upper part aroun and that should dO! My bro install an iron bar at the backjard between two 90 shaped walls and iron windows.. lol works too!

  18. IPSPMAN90 / Aug 21 2010

Well , do you have some sort of Gate on your apartment? You can just grab the uppert part of the gate, when its open and pull up and down. That’s what I di, and I don’t need no Pull up bar! Of course use

  19. Apollosungod / Aug 21 2010

not true. and installing it into the wall isnt smart. its better if a bar is higher up off the ground. it makes it alot less harder than it should be to do any kind of pull up exercise. U can use resistance bands instead…if u have the videos u would know this lol
btw this shit works like magic, i lost 20 lbs in 4 weeks and ive kept it off. im not even finished with the program yet. in fact, im just starting my 6th week. bahaha AMAZING P90X

  20. Vectornyi / Aug 21 2010

pull-up bars is the best and have no substitute, but with dumbbells you CAN do moves to work on your back – its dumbbell bent over rows, heavy pants and lawnmowers from P90x. Also military (hands and shouders parallel) push-ups also works on your back. But even through, INSTALL something to hang on. I personally was using trees in park when i was just starting

  21. jevari / Aug 21 2010

hey just wanted to thank you for the tip

  22. trevorthegreat24 / Aug 21 2010

nothing can substitute the chin-up bar! i’m sure you can find something strong enough to support your weight!

or install a bar through the walls if you’re that desperate!

  23. jevari / Aug 21 2010

hello everyone i just wanna to know if there any kind of exercise that will sustitute the chin up bar cause i dont have one and there no way i can put one in my a partment not even one of those bars that goes in the door since my doors are really huge and it just wont fit if any one can tell me an exercise that i can do with dumbbells ill be thankfull

  24. DontxBringxPajamas / Aug 21 2010

This looks too scary for me….

  25. Xtian913 / Aug 21 2010

    Hey there!

I couldn’t find a spot to comment on any of your P90X blog videos or your profile, so I thought I would send it here and say I am appreciating your honesty and humor in your videos about P90X! I just ordered the program two days ago and am anxiously awaiting its arrival – so I’ve been abiding the time with all the great videos here on YouTube about the program.

Hope the program is treating you well, and lets hope we both get the results we want! Can’t wait to see more videos! :-)
